Mission

The Tibetan Community Center of Northern California (TCCNC) is an initiative of the Tibetan Association of Northern California (TANC). It seeks to strengthen the Tibetan-American community and promote the continuity and development of Tibetan social, cultural, and artistic traditions. TCCNC serves as a gateway to the living culture of Tibet for the Northern California community at large.

Upcoming Events & Announcements

FREE HEALTH SCREENING
Date: Sunday, July 5, 2009 (11 to 3pm)
Venue: Berkeley Marina Park
Community members, particularly those without health insurance, are invited for a free check-up.  Members can also schedule time for check-ups and consultations with a doctor specializing in Tibetan medicine.

TIBETAN COMMUNITY CENTER PROJECT PRESENTATION
Date: Saturday, July 4, 2009 (7:30pm)
Venue: First Congregational Church of Oakland, Oakland
Community members are invited and encouraged to attend this important meeting where Tibetan Community Center Project members will present an update on the project. Members will have an opportunity to ask questions, provide input and support.

2009 BETSY GORDON FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS

TANC is now accepting applications for the 2009 Betsy Gordon Foundation scholarships for Tibetan residents of Northern California. 
Application deadline is July 11, 2009.
